Proving Grounds is what happens when New Trail & Other Half are among the first breweries in the world to experiment with new yet-to-be-named hop varietals, with the goal of gauging public interest in wider cultivation. This Hazy Double IPA is hopped primarily with NZH-109 from NZ Hops, a New Zealand varietal developed for intense passionfruit notes, backed up by mango, stone fruit, and lime. Give it a try and see for yourself if this hop will survive the Proving Grounds.
